We currently seek a research leader to work in our Collaboration and Communications group. Qualified candidates should have a thorough understanding of the collaboration and communications marketplace as well as technical knowledge of and/or expertise with unified communications, PBX systems, hosted telephony platforms, presence and chat, voice and video conferencing, and tele-presence solutions.

The Research Leader will be primarily responsible but not limited to:
Deliver intelligence and analysis that enables our clients to respond to competitive threats and opportunities, and gives end-users insight into the strengths and weaknesses of competing vendors and their offerings.
Proactively track and analyze the collaboration and communications marketplace and identify any regional and national market trends for email and web-based distribution to our client base of sales teams, marketing professionals, product managers, executives, resellers, and enterprise buyers. Content production includes factual and qualitative comparisons of global optical equipment vendors including product features, market information, sales tactics, and end-user buying criteria.
Serve as a backup for other enterprise analysis generated by Current Analysis. Assist with peer review of content to ensure consistency and quality of analysis.
Attend industry trade shows, analyst conference, webinars and vendor briefings in order to stay on top of market trends and developments. Leverage these occasions to deliver market briefings, client seminars and public presentations.
Present research findings in both live and online events organized by Current Analysis or its clients.
Work cooperatively with Research and Service Directors, managing coverage of all business technology and services research.
Extensive knowledge of and/or experience in the communications and collaboration market particularly in regards to the convergence of real-time and asynchronous collaboration such as voice/video conferencing and social networking.
Three to five years experience as an analyst, technical writer, marketing or product marketing in the unified communications market space.
Proven written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated quantitative, analytical, and problem solving skills.
Public speaking and/or sales presentation experience.
Effective prioritization and time management skills.
Bachelor?s Degree required.
