In your first year with FirstBest
In the first six months we will invest in each other. You will learn the product, train with subject matter experts and work closely with the experienced customer solutions team to develop a thorough knowledge of the FirstBest Underwriting Management System (UMS). You will also be given the opportunity to work directly on accounts, delivering demos in environments like webex, customer visits, trade shows and workshops. You will feel supported by your team but given lots of responsibility and opportunities to contribute. In the second six months you will be ready to be the technical expert in a collaborative sales process, both leading internal workshops and in customer opportunities.
What you bring to the role
Ideally, you have an understanding of the business processes involved in underwriting, such as set-up, rating, binding, quoting and endorsements. You have a high level of familiarity with technology including software configuration and architectural considerations. You understand how to pitch the value of software conceptually. You also bring a go-with-the-flow approach to demos and the ability you think on your feet in front of C-level executives. We will want to hear your stories about your previous positions when you have been in challenging situations- about how you started a carefully planned demo, your audience changed directions and you went with them but successfully brought them back to your plan.
You also bring an expert level of:
Understanding of the role of the Sales Engineer in the sales process and experience with demonstrating dynamic software applications to business and technical audiences from at least 5 years of experience in a similar role
Collaboration in the sales process and experience working with diverse teams including sales executives, engineers, marketing, and professional services
Engagement at every level in an opportunity and superior client skills
