Sales Engineer - Mid-market SevOne
The SevOne Systems Engineer has technical experience supporting the sales efforts for high-value, IP-based, networking solutions at multiple levels within various telecommunications service providers and large enterprise customers. Highly developed organizational and people skills are a must as this person will be establishing and maintaining long-term relationships with large, high profile accounts. This position requires someone who displays strong knowledge in a number of technologies, can operate under minimal supervision, is a self-motivated, fast learner, and is highly competent in communicating technology concepts with customers, partners, sales, and fellow employees.
Own entire pre-sales technical cycle, including assisting sales manager in closing the sale.
Meet or exceed support, sales, and business development objectives in collaboration with the sales team.
Use technical and business writing skills used to respond to technical portions of new business proposals, e.g. RFP/RFI.
Provide Pre-Sales product Proof of Concept (POC) oversight to ensure client is successful with products and understands product capabilities. This includes planning, staging, installing, and managing the POC process.
Develop and deliver product presentations at customers, conferences and other venues as required.
Provide relevant customer feedback to corporate: features, futures, issues, success stories, and competitive field intelligence.
Own assigned accounts from an overall customer satisfaction perspective
BA/BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Sciences
Strong IT knowledge of solutions development, components and architectures
Knowledgeable in the following areas:
IT technologies such as; Enterprise Storage, Network systems, Software and Peripherals
OSS/BSS space, specifically Network Performance Management
Databases (MySQL a plus)
Data and Voice Network design
Network protocols, TCP/IP, MPLS, & SNMP
Professional service experience with SOAP, PHP, Perl, or XML (a plus)
High degree of knowledge of networking with IP MPLS, Cable, Fiber, Ethernet, 3G, 4G/LTE, IMS
Knowledge of mobile wireless network design and service delivery
Strong technical problem solving skills
Strong knowledge of the backup and recovery market
Cisco Networking, Database Systems, Mobile Cloud Computing a plus
Strong presenter and communicator
