We?re looking for an Sales Engineer to add tremendous value to the pre-sales customer experience.. Responsible for a quarterly goal, you will passionately bring on new customers by:
Understanding the prospects? pain.
Mapping those pains to our product?s benefits.
Addressing and removing technical obstacles.
Architecting a viable technical solution.
Driving the deal to a close.
We have tons of new customers and prospects who need a hand in understanding our product, so we need you to evoke confidence in Mashery?s premier, multi-tenant SaaS solution. Someone who can speak to our product value to both business executives and technical staff alike is required. We?ll also look to you to assist us in identifying product and market opportunities through your interactions during the sales cycle.
Job Details and Skills You?ll Need to Succeed:
Perform technical demos and presentations for customers, partners, and prospects.
Be the technical expert on Mashery?s product offerings during all phases of the sales process.
Understand customer pain points and actively engage them for technical needs.
Communicate effectively with a diverse customer audience, including C-level executives and technical staff.
Strong learner and capable of coming up to speed quickly on technologies.
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple prospect calls, RFP/RFI?s, SOW?s, meetings, and any follow up items, ensuring a timely and professional response.
Problem solving skills: ability to assess a problem and determine an effective course of action, engage relevant prospect/customer teams to design solutions using Mashery.
Bachelor?s degree required in Computer Science or related field
2+ years of experience as a software engineer or a similar role.
2+ years of experience in a pre-sales or customer-facing role.
Conversant in common Internet technologies and protocols (HTTP, SSL, OAuth, REST, etc), understanding the pros and cons of each
Working knowledge of API?s/web services and associated tools.
Strong understanding of SaaS, multi-tenant solutions as compared to on-premise software.

You can dig in and be hands on in learning the product. There?s a lot to figure out, so being naturally curious about things will be very helpful.
Must be able and willing to manage 25% domestic and international travel, although the west coast will be the focus.
