The SEC Reporting Manager position manages technical accounting research and policy making, SEC reporting requirements and Sarbanes Oxley compliance efforts. The SEC Reporting Manager will gain experience developing the SEC reporting and accounting policy functions for a global technology organization and report directly to the Senior Vice President of Finance.
Research and analyze technical accounting and financial reporting issues, assess impact to organization, formalize positions and recommendations, write white-papers and ensure reporting compliance.
Working with external consultants, leads the development and day-to-day management of the Sarbanes Oxley compliance effort.
Responsible for all SEC reporting requirements, including preparation of and timely filing of all SEC filings, including but not limited to: 10-Q, 10-K, and 8-K filings.
Interface with external auditors and legal counsel to ensure that all filings are made in advance of required deadlines. Prepare, publish and maintain a formal calendar/time-line of events associated with all filings including reviews by internal personnel, disclosure committee, and the audit committee of the board of directors.
Responsible for the compilation of financial statements, footnote disclosures (10-K and 10-Q), management's discussion and analysis and all other components of SEC filings. Lead the information gathering process.
Develop XBRL compliant SEC filings.
Assist with the preparation of materials for board of director meetings.
Review earnings releases, conference call scripts, and other communications and presentations for accuracy and completeness.
As necessary, performs other duties as required.

Strong analytical, organizational and research abilities
Strong project manager
Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks
Deadline and results oriented, able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
Minimum 5 years experience, minimum 2 years in management position at a public company completing the above duties
Big 4 experience preferred
