Provide valuable and timely analysis to the Finance team and business partners. Reporting to the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis, this position will assist in preparation of budget, forecast and actual financial results. This position will also serve as the finance business partner for the Global Operations and Supply Chain group.
Support Business Partners on annual Budget and LRP processes, as well as quarterly forecast updates;
Consolidate and reconcile actual results for functional groups, such as commercial, and preform analysis vs. current and annual plans;
Develop and build expense tracking models;
Maintain standard reporting tools to help identify key risks and opportunities;
Participate in SAP finance system optimization to streamline data gathering processes for reporting accuracy and efficiency;
Develop, build and maintain Revenue and COGS models;
Perform costing accounting activities in support of 3rd party manufacturing including cost of goods sold calculations and variance analysis;
Prepare all monthly accounting adjustments, reporting, analyses and supporting controls with respect to inventory costing, transactions as well as intercompany transactions;
Support financial and business controls and standards including SOX requirements;
Supply chain analysis and modeling;
Preparation of all applicable management reporting, KPI and audit schedules;
Interface with 3rd Part Manufacturers and/or Aegerion supply chain personnel to these 3rd parties;
Implementation of MRP system within SAP Business One as well as development of international subsidiary reporting requirements;
Special projects/ad hoc analysis as necessary.
Qualifications and Experience
BS degree in finance and accounting, MBA preferred;
5-7 years financial planning and analysis experience;
Experience in biotech/pharmaceutical industry preferred;
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel;
Solid accounting and financial reporting experience in an operational environment;
ERP Systems, specifically job costing or process accounting experience required;
Analytical (intellectual curiosity) approach to job responsibilities with emphasis on process improvement and business relevancy;
Proven ability to be effective as a business partner to operations management;
Detailed oriented, analytical, self-starter essential;
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial statement reporting.
