We are currently recruiting for a Senior Business Systems Analyst who is a team player and willing to

Under general supervision, provide support and direction pertaining to the business systems,
Database Management Systems (DBMS), and data management for the organization. Major job
functions include administering Rogue Wave Software?s (RW) various DBMS, developing data security
and confidentiality policies, designing and developing database applications, working in various
computing environments to develop and assist in the analysis of business and research databases,
providing technical documentation of data and quality assurance of data inputs and outputs, assisting
with the presentation of data findings for projects, and providing technical support in the use of this
data. Interface with employees from several different departments to identify requirements, propose
solutions, and implement products.
? Database Administration to include administration and maintenance of the company?s MS-SQL
Server DBMS; installation and upgrades to the DBMS; monitoring and optimizing the DBMS.
Perform back-up and recovery for all DBMS databases. Manage database access ensuring security
of the data; provide technical assistance to staff and recommend hardware upgrades as needed.
? Develop policies to ensure the security and confidentiality of RW?s identifiable business data.
Monitor staff?s compliance with confidentiality policies to assure that security standards are met.
? Control activities related to day-to-day maintenance to CRM and Financial systems to ensure
continuous operations and peak performance. Includes creating backups, editing indexes,
performing installations and upgrades. Monitor database system performance ensuring system
availability, integrity, and dependability.
? Design and develop database applications in response to RW information needs, using various
database applications. Install developed applications, write application manuals, and train users.
Provide ongoing maintenance and support to users of database applications. Provide assistance to
RW staff in database design based on technical knowledge of field.
? Assure the quality of data feeds and processing of downloads from various data systems. Develop
standardized programming and data documentation procedures relevant to RW business and
development data systems. Train and mentor others in specific data processing and design tasks.
Assist in data analysis using various statistical and database packages. Responsible for archiving
business and development related data and programs.
? Assist in the management of company?s hardware and software as it relates to the operations of
the DBMS systems, including system development and maintenance, recommend purchase of new
hardware and software maintenance of records and reports relating to database operations,
data/project archives, and disk maintenance.
? Perform and execute other duties as assigned including but not limited to testing routine system
backups and restores. Recommend best practices and maintain / expand technical knowledge
through on-going training courses, seminars, and reading technical publications. Conduct classes
for internal employees regarding features and operation of internal applications, including CRM,
financial & general administrative databases, and other similar applications. Prepare training
materials and documentation. Test and maintain training software. Manage projects as required.
Work Experience and Education:
Bachelor?s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Engineering or Business with a

minimum of 5 years experience in a related field. Demonstrated 7 ? 10 years of experience in
database system administration and business systems (CRM, Finance, Accounting) including user
support, reporting, development and design, migrations, and consolidation (Microsoft Dynamics Great
Plains and Microsoft Dynamics CRM preferred). Additional experience desired or required includes:
? Experience documenting and maintaining configuration and process information.
? Knowledge of database design and architecture.
? Advanced experience with a variety of database systems (MS-SQL, PostgreSQL, &
? Experience with ETL (Export, Transform, Load) procedures and tools.
? Advanced knowledge of MS-Excel.
? Experience with business reporting. (FRX, SSRS, GP Reporter)
? Business Intelligence (BI) experience preferred.
? Basic understanding of Finance & Accounting practices and Sales cycle and customer relationship
? Ability to convert business requests into documented business requirements.
? Exceptional communication skills.
? Database administration certifications preferred.
