athena's HR Department (â€œPeople and Processâ€) works passionately to build a high-performing company culture comprised of engaged employees who collaborate to achieve athena's mission. The Sr. Technical Recruter, leveraging his/her prior experience in a high-growth, deadline-driven environment, plays an integral role on the HR team in helping to achieve our mission. S/he is responsible for sourcing, screening and interviewing candidates for a variety of jobs within our Epocrates division (across all cohorts: entry-level to senior management). This is an exciting opportunity to be on the ground floor of building out a recruiting function for our San Mateo location.
The Sr. Technical Recruiter will work in our San Mateo location and will report to the Senior Manager of Technical Recruiting. His/Her primary focus will start in the technology space with the hiring of mobile developers, Oracle DBAs and other technical roles.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
â€¢ Creatively source qualified, top-notch candidates for a diverse range of levels and functional areas (sourcing includes extensive cold-calling as well as internet and database searches and networking);
â€¢ Screen and conduct first round interviews on sourced leads to determine appropriate potential fit within the organization;
â€¢ Collaborate with the HR BPs and Recruiters to lead recruiting programs (e.g. college recruiting initiatives, internship programs, community outreach, advertising/PR) that effectively generate qualified leads;
â€¢Attract, develop, grow and manage recruiting team members
â€¢ Work with hiring managers and HR Business Partners to identify ideal candidate profiles, which entails gaining a firm understanding of athena's culture and business needs;
â€¢ Partner with HRBP and functional leaders to identify skill gaps within the business and proactively build a rich pipeline of talent for current and future vacancies.
â€¢ Partner with multiple Vice-Presidents, Business Leaders, Hiring Managers, Recruiters and Human Resources Managers to set and drive strategy and implement the delivery of world class talent identification within a client-aligned recruiting team.
â€¢Develop a scorecard to communicate recruiting success and regularly report out on recruiting stats against any function specific/company hiring needs.
â€¢ Other duties as assigned by the Senior Manager of Technical Recruiting
â€¢ Bachelors degree in Business, HR, Engineering or a related discipline
â€¢ 2-3 years of agency experience, preferably in technical recruiting
â€¢3-5 years of corporate recruiting experience, preferably within a software company
â€¢Mentoring or leadership experience strongly desired.
â€¢ Experience in a high-growth, fast-paced, deadline-driven corporate environment;
â€¢ Demonstrated ability to engage in frequent cold-calling activity a must;
â€¢Ability to emphasize quality over quantity
â€¢ Mastery of all Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
