This role reports to the Chief Medical & Innovation Officer and Senior Vice President of Product Management
Oversee usability and design research for product development projects
Participate in all phases of the product development process ? from idea conception to wireframes, prototyping, design, and implementation
Create innovative solutions for new product features and improvements to existing features that tie directly to business goals
Work cross-platform, including desktop, mobile, and mobile Web
Create simple user experiences around complex information architectural needs
Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Business Intelligence, Research, Editorial, Sales, Technology and Creative teams
Evangelize user experience within the company
Share expertise, best practices, and challenges with a talented team of Creative, Product, and Engineering professionals ? all committed to defining and building premium health products
What You?ll Bring to the Table:
Strong UX experience creating interfaces for complex interactive products
Experience in understanding and visually communicating complex information architectures
Great wire-framing and prototyping skills
Experience working in an Agile environment
Experience conducting and analyzing usability and design research
Extensive knowledge in standard UI interaction patterns
Diverse and extensive knowledge in UX best practices, tools and processes
Ability to clearly articulate your ideas to team members and stakeholders
Thrive in fast-paced environments. Manage multiple projects and deadlines, both under direct supervision and autonomously.
Resourceful and creative. Getting things done the usual way might not be an option ? so thinking outside the box IS encouraged and often necessary
Experience in driving user experience design processes throughout the Product Development team
Work closely with visual designers
Passion for what you do, staying on top of current trends and developments
Approximately 5+ years of professional design experience
College degree. Preferably in HCI or Interaction Design
Solid understanding of the workflow processes and interactions among medical professionals and patients
Experience in wireframe and prototyping tools including Axure, Omnigraffle, Invision, or similar tools
Portfolio of work that demonstrates your wire framing, prototyping, and user research chops
Ability to generate a User Experience Document based on personas and scenarios
Ability to deliver wireframes, screen flows, site map and annotated interaction design documents
Ability to prioritize and manage work to adhere to critical project timelines in a fast-paced environment
Ability to use design research principles and usability testing to guide product user experience
Current on the latest updates, tools, and techniques
A good communicator, and importantly a great team player
