Job Description :
The SGRP Containment Coordinator is the Owner?s Representative and is responsible for the coordination of Plant and Contractor work activities in containment. The Containment Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and coordinating use of laydown space and crane coordination. The Containment Coordinator is responsible for monitoring safety performance to ensure that parties working in containment maintain a safe environment to work.
The Containment Coordinator reports directly to the Implementation Manager.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Oversee implementation of the Plant and Contractor Industrial Safety Program and Xcel Radiation Protection Program.
Conducts safety tours each shift and reviews and ensures resolution of any safety concerns.
Ensures that work in containment is properly coordinated and performed with quality workmanship.
Performs reviews of daily work schedule and look ahead reviews to ensure efficient use of cranes in containment and Aux Building.
Coordinates and sets priorities for utilization of crane resources.
Responsible for coordinating with Plant, SGRP Contractor, and other parties working in containment for development of laydown plans and utilization of laydown space.
Act as point of contact for the OCC in assessing work in containment and communicating priorities.
Provide input into detailed SGR scheduling and tracking of work against the schedule.
Coordinates material move in and move out through the equipment hatch.
Provides input on project issues such as delays, scope change, contingency plans, etc.
Monitors work progress and tracks hold points to assure that they are not bypassed. Ensures notification of Quality Control (QC) or other entities when hold points are ready for signoff.
Minimum Job Requirements
Able to lift minimum 50 lbs.
Ability to climb ladders, scaffolding and platforms in enclosed tight spaces
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Able to work independently
Strong ability to follow procedures
Able to work eight to twelve hour shifts, day or night, six days a week, any day of week
Able to complete all training requirements including dressing in anti contamination clothing.
