THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED QuinStreet is adding an Associate to its Social Media Division. The new person will champion Web 2.0 strategies for selected Web sites in our network with the object of increasing the online reach of QuinStreet on the Internet. The associate will achieve this goal by drawing on his or her experience in marketing or public relations and social networking, and web development. He or she will work in an entry level position with site producers and editors to optimize sites for social media, create social media marketing content, write and distribute press releases, and participate actively in social networking marketing initiatives.

This position is a great opportunity for recent college graduates with some programming and web development experience seeking professional experience in marketing and/or the public relations field.
The Social Media Associate will report to the Senior Manager, Social Media.
1-3 years work experience and a history of active social networking online.
Superior research, writing, editing, and communication skills (preferably online content)
Recent experience with search engine optimization, online publishing, and/or new media
An understanding of social media applications, sites, and best practices
Knowledge of blogging platforms (e.g. Wordpress, Blogger) and hands-on blogging experience
Current active participation in social networking and other interactive sites
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Word and Excel)
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and organize a large number of concurrent projects
Comfortable making decisions on the fly
