SourceMedical is currently seeking a Software Configuration Manager / Release Manager for it?s Surgery Division, to be located in either Birmingham, AL or Branford, CT.
Summary of Position:
We are searching for a software configuration manager/release engineer with strong organizational skills to join our team. In this role, you would work with different groups within Source Medical to understand the requirements and automate the source code management, software build, packaging, installation and validation of new releases and updated software releases for our customers.
Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:
1. Source Code Management under Microsoft Team Foundation Server
2. Planning and organizing product builds including daily, service kit and full builds ? Daily, incremental and full builds.
3. Configuring and packaging software releases and updates
4. Completing detailed documentation regarding the software building, release and installation process
5. Using InstallShield software to build install kits
6. Providing client support
--Significant InstallShield software experience (including writing and building scripts as well as utilizing automation tools)
--Solid experience using Team Foundation Server
--Solid understanding of Configuration management
--Automation of builds in an Agile environment (Continuous integration)
--Must have built automatic installation packages for multi-tiered applications in a Windows OS environment.
--Strong understanding of the Windows OS. SQL Server, IIS and other Web-based applications
--Solid ability to organize, prioritize and multitask
--Proficiency in MS Office applications
--Mentor junior staff
--Experience working on a commercial product
--Experience in building and establishing new SCM processes
--BS in Computer Science or equivalent preferred
Demonstrated skills in the following are beneficial, but not required:
--MS Visual Studio
--InterSystems Cache database
--Systems administration and configuration of Microsoft environments
