PatientKeeper, a leading provider of healthcare applications for physicians, is searching for a clinical professional to join our team as Solution Consultant. This position reports to the Senior Director of Technical Solutions and is located in the Waltham, MA office. The Solution Consultant?s primary responsibility is to support the sales organization. This includes providing PatientKeeper product demonstrations as well as working with prospects, Sales RSDs, and other internal functions like Product Management and Services to develop appropriate solutions per client.
As Solution Consultant, you will contribute to the overall success of the sales organization in terms of new and add-on business by applying advanced technical and product application knowledge throughout the sales process; provide expertise in sales events, presentations customized to the particular selling situation, trade shows, and adoption seminars; work with Product Management to provide feedback from the field as to product enhancement requests, software performance, and by assisting in the triage of defect & enhancement requests; be an active member in the upkeep and management of demo systems; and actively participate in the completion of RFPs, thus competent writing skills are required.

Assist in new sales staff hire training

Business case as it pertains to the demonstration
Share experiences, use cases, value and questions between executives and prospect
Develop and update sales tools
Assure maintenance and operability of sales system, working with Product Management to facilitate upgrades and speed/ availability of system and communicating updates/ changes to sales team. To validate the clinical consistency of the data in the system. To validate the systems are working as intended for sales presentations.
Documents including written demonstration scripts
Trade Show support, including set up and breakdown as lead contact for shows attendees
Assist the sales team by
Actively work with client and sales exec to develop the proposed solution to each client, clearly document this solution, understand where we have product gaps, and how the solution will benefit the client
Responding to RFP?s, be able to write a clear, client facing document
Positioning products in a complex environment ? helping sales exec to determine best demonstration, anecdotes, etc to support the discovery work when they are called in to a meeting
Documenting encounters in Salesforce.com with thorough notes of meetings and calls
Communicating product requests and/ or questions from clients and prospects to Product Management and then back to Sales Executives
Significant knowledge of client and prospect business operations to include: clinical, revenue cycle, and regulatory.
Agility in meetings, able to identify a unique customer need on the spot and demonstrate a solution; ability to follow the direction of the customer and make adjustments to the demonstration or presentation mid-stride. Able to dynamically present PatientKeeper suite of applications.
Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT and ICD-9 (10) coding, and of third party insurance reimbursement practices. Billing office/revenue cycle experience is helpful.

A minimum of five (5) years healthcare experience with a clinical background involving direct patient care (e.g. RN, NP, PA, Respiratory Therapy, Speech Therapy, etc.)
Bachelor?s Degree required
Demonstrated ability to contribute to new and add-on sales of modules and services
Ability to Travel up to 70% - US, Canada & UK. Average expected travel 50%
Arranging presentations and conducting demonstrations and/or site visits
Familiarity with HIS and EMR Systems
Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills required
Strong computer literacy
Desire to work in a high growth, rapid pace company environment
Ability to be flexible and self motivated
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with and to inspire others towards excellence
Demonstrated leadership in internal as well as external problem solving
