Responsible for communication and demonstration of the value enabled by ASTUTE's unique solutions (primarily Astute SRM social media offering) while supporting both the external and internal sales staff in the successful execution of ASTUTE's selling process.
The Solutions Consultant is responsible for designing solutions that will successfully satisfy a customer's project objectives whilst evoking confidence in ASTUTE's products, technologies and services. To accomplish this, the Solutions Consultant must have a strong desire and ability to leverage both technical and sales skills while playing a key role in the sales process. The successful Solutions Consultant will possess the ability to uncover business requirements, and align Astute capabilities with those requirements and communicate the business value of ASTUTE's unique product offerings (primarily Astute SRM). The Solutions Consultant will build and maintain relationships with the technical buyer during and after the sales cycle. The SC will be responsible for providing feedback to Product Management from customer demos.
REPORTING & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
Internal working relationships include ASTUTE?s President, Project Management Staff, Product Development staff, other Sales/Business Development teams, Marketing and Support teams. The SC will develop direct relationships with the Customer and the Technical Customer.
Sales Support ? Provide support to both internal and external sales personnel in an effort to continually grow revenue and service our new prospect and customer's needs. Function as a primary technical resource in the development of ASTUTE's value proposition and technological capabilities during sales engagements. Demonstrate ASTUTE's product capabilities via demonstration's and capabilities discussions both in-person and via web-based methods. The SC will also support sales folks in identification of success criteria of Early Adopter programs. 65%
Solution Documentation and Design ? Communicate via written format the project/solution requirements, roles and responsibilities for both the customer and ASTUTE during the pre-sales process. Develop solution design documentation and supporting materials as needed. 15%
Product Knowledge and Understanding ? Develop and maintain a deep understanding of ASTUTE's products and services. Demonstrate a command of this product knowledge and the various applications? of ASTUTE's products to fulfill both technical and business requirements. 10%
Demo System Design and Maintenance ? Maintain the existing sales demonstration systems and configure the systems as needed to fulfill sales demonstration responsibilities. Proactively develop and design new techniques and use-case scenarios to better demonstrate ASTUTE's products. 5%
Cross-Functional Activity ? Collaborate with various departments and personnel in a cross-functional manner to provide unique insight and business value as needed. The SC is the Hand-Off point fom Sales to Professional Services. 5%
Working knowledge of CRM software and especially social media analytics
Skills at developing Economic Value Add(EVA) and Return On Investment (ROI) for customers.
Highly developed written and verbal communications skills
Developed competencies with MS Office Suite to include: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
Excellent interpersonal skills (i.e. works well with others)
Strong understanding of social media technologies
Quickly adapts to handle a wide variety of sales and technical situations
Desire to understand and interfacewith new technologies
Working knowledge of business and technical fundamentals
Knowledge of related applications, relational databases, cloud and web technology
Competent in contributing to sales strategies and product positioning within sales opportunities
Ability to define project responsibilities and technical requirements in written format for delivery to customers

Minimum of an undergraduate degree in Business, Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, or a related field (preferably)
