We are looking for an SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) to work within
the IT team and be responsible for the architecting, design and implementation of
SQL databases, data warehouses, data marts, and other business intelligence
solutions, with an emphasis on Microsoft SharePoint, Lync, Dynamics CRM and
SL administration and development.
The right candidate will have analytical and dimensional modeling skills, along
with experience in developing extract, transform, and load processes and data
presentation layers for the end-user. The right candidate should also have

Specific Responsibilities Include:
? Provides support for databases currently being used by existing
? Works with various business and IT personnel as necessary to
determine database requirements and design.
? Identifies data sources, constructs database diagrams, provides
dataflow diagrams and documents the process.
? Works closely with backup and restore operators to maintain a backup
and recovery strategy for all databases.
? Works closely with outside, third-party application vendors to ensure
? Develops procedures to continuously monitor database activity to
identify and resolve potential performance issues prior to them
impacting production applications.
? Provides support for implementing database changes required for
software releases and production issues.
? Develops infrastructure for both transactional applications and
? Develops and maintains a backup and recovery strategy for all
? Ensures all databases are properly documented.
? Makes hardware and/or software purchasing recommendations
regarding database servers.? Diligently complies with and consistently enforces information security
and confidentiality policies and procedures.
? Maintain and develop SharePoint, Lync, Project Server, Dynamics
CRM and SL environments.
Skills and Educational Requirements:
? Bachelor?s degree in computer science or information technology, or
the equivalent in training and/or experience.
? MCITP Database Administrator certification preferred
? Minimum of five years of IT experience.
? Minimum of three years of experience designing, implementing, and
supporting Microsoft SQL Server 2000/2005/2008 databases.
? In depth SQL server database administration experience.
? Experience with SQL server clustering.
? Practical experience in monitoring and tuning a database to provide a
high availability service.
? Experience implementing and supporting database replication.
? Ability to express complex technical concepts effectively, both verbally
and in writing.
? Proficient interpersonal skills and the ability to interact well with all
? Participation in afterhours support.
? Experience with Microsoft SharePoint, Lync, Project Server, Dynamics
CRM and SL platforms.
