WideOrbit is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join a talented and motivated team of media software professionals working on the industry?s leading sales product for cable networks. In this role, the BA will work on the entire project lifecycle from requirements definition to writing detailed specs, as well as business use cases, workflows and some QA testing. As an important project team member, the resource is expected to be detailed oriented, goal driven and be able to communicate effectively with both internal and external resources.
If you?ve had experience in pricing, inventory, or planning, and have a solid grasp of systems, you could be a great fit for this role. The ideal person would have an analytical background and enjoy taking a larger project and breaking it down into steps to be done.
Here?s what you?ll be doing:
Take direction and ownership of individual project goals and timelines
Gather and clearly document requirements, business cases, workflows for new product features
Prepare specification documents for various functional areas ? making business processes into features for software
Communicate and document requirements for managers, team members and development resources
Collaborate with development resources on the lifecycle of new features
Guide multiple projects and tasks concurrently, while effectively managing change of scope or timelines
Assist QA staff in testing new or changed features
Here what we?re looking for:
5+ years of experience in cable network industry with focus in inventory, pricing, and/or planning.
Background in systems design and software development lifecycle is preferred.
Ability to collaborate with clients, internal staff and teams
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Willingness to travel as needed
Strong analytical and technical skills.
Positive entrepreneurial attitude.
This position will be ideally based in New York at a client site or a future WO office.
