Idea/Astadia is looking for a senior marketing analyst to join our growing digital strategy team. In this lead role, you will have the opportunity help a variety of exciting B2B and B2C clients learn about their customers and make informed business decisions. What you will need to do:
Lead the marketing analytics efforts for a growing digital strategy team at a unique digital agency.
Collect and analyze business data from a wide variety of online and offline sources (web metrics, social media, sales data, etc.) to uncover insights and identify growth opportunities
Translate metrics related to all aspects of the sales funnel into palatable, actionable data for clients and internal teams
Organize and present technical information to all audiences, including clients, executives, marketers, and analysts
Develop strategies for nurturing and creating leads in B2B and B2C environments.
Serve as a ?marketing detective? (BYO deerstalker, pipe, and magnifying glass?)
Who you will need to work with:
A wide variety of contacts outside the agency, including 3rd party agency staff, and clients. This is most definitely a client-facing role.
Junior strategy staff that need direction with regard to all of the tasks of marketing analytics and strategy. You should relish the chance to be a mentor!
All of your other colleagues across disciplines, including user experience practitioners, designers, developers, project managers, and account managers.
Just about anyone, really. You never know; that person you just met might be your next client.
Notable skills that you will need to have:
Fanatical attention to detail. This is listed first on purpose.
Strong data gathering, interpretation, and communication skills. You should have the ability to summarize complex findings clearly and concisely.
Strong computer skills with a special emphasis on spreadsheets, data analysis, and presentation software.
Expertise in Google Analytics and Omniture. Familiarity with other web analytics packages.
Familiarity with marketing automation tools like Eloqua, Marketo, and Test and Target, is a plus.
A solid understanding of the marketing and sales funnel, along with the typical stages of the buyer journey.
The ability to lead a team. This means delegating and reviewing work and serving as a model practitioner. Someone else will handle the ?HR stuff?.
Solid business acumen.
Robust analytical and problem-solving skills.
The ability to think creatively, especially about where to go to lunch when nobody has a good suggestion.
