The Insights & Benchmarking (I&B) Product Management role is a multi-disciplinary role focused on partnering Data Science, Product Management, Big Data Engineering and I&B business team members. The Product Manager will focus on building subject matter business, analytical and technical expertise of Xactly?s I&B business requirements, Incent/Xpress data architecture and Big Data Hadoop architecture. In addition; the incumbent will have the leadership aptitude and ability to manage in a matrix environment and have the ability to provide strategic direction. The incumbent is generally in charge of their own work effort as well as any resources assigned to meet I&B product and services development tasks.
As a product manager, the candidate will be responsible for analyzing the marketplace, customers, and competitors to determine the right functionality to bring to market along with overall prioritization while balancing priorities for customer needs and competitive strategy.
? Specifying market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by on-going communication with customers and prospects
? Evangelizing the product vision throughout the organization and market
? Developing product requirements, user stories, and feature requirements, to maintain the product backlog of priorities in close collaboration with engineering, operations and business leaders
? Monitoring progress of the product through the product development life cycle, identifying risks and opportunities, keeping senior management informed
? Supporting the product release process from user stories and requirements through customer adoption
? Working with engineering to scope product delivery and understand development alternatives as well as support build/buy economics when applicable
? Supporting product marketing and sales through marketing campaigns, webinars, customer focused groups and customer visits
? Helping drive client and user adoption of products
? Shape and Deliver Internal Work steams: Utilize structured problem solving skills/frameworks to develop a work plan and approach to frame and answer a business question
? Facilitate key product requirements and design meetings
? Translate I&B conceptual requirements into clear and concise business and technical requirements capable of being handed off for delivery
? Deliver consultative recommendations to Xactly leadership by drawing from information captured from the Xactly team, prior experience and knowledge of critical processes and industry acumen
? Participate in Insights & Benchmarking practice building activities (e.g., conference participation, thought leadership development, market offering development, recruiting)
? Minimum BS degree in Computer Science or related field
? Experience in incentive compensation management applications, reporting and business analytics, SaaS a plus
? 3+ years product management experience in the software industry
? 3+ years as a business analyst or demonstrable skills in Business Intelligence
? Strong skills in in statistics
? Demonstrable experience with product design, on-demand applications a plus
? Self starter, broad thinker, strategic planner, proven project manager, strong analytical skills
? Excellent oral and written communication
? Prior business or technical experience with Big Data, Business Intelligence and/or Benchmarking a plus
? Strong written and oral communication skills
