Lithium Technologies is seeking a Manager/Director of Software Application Engineering to lead and build a high caliber team delivering the next generation of SaaS based social media applications. We are seeking someone who has strong technical, project and people skills with a can-do mentality and a focus on delivering high quality software. What You'll Do
As the engineering Manager/Director of an agile team of 10+ dynamic engineers, you will be leading the design and delivery of the next generation of social customer experience applications, through the Scrum/AGILE development process. You will participate on the engineering leadership team to define the longer term technology and architectural strategy. These applications and technologies span a variety of domains including web applications, social media monitoring, analytics, machine learning, big data processing and social customer intelligence.
Lead and manage a talented and diverse group of software developers.
Deliver high-quality scalable systems in a timely and cost effective manner.
Implement and maintain best practices around AGILE software development.
Retain, lead and mentor engineering talent to build a cohesive and powerful team.
Work closely with product management to define project scope, priorities and timelines.
To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone with:
At least 10 years of software engineering experience in SaaS platforms or enterprise hosted platforms with extensive experience building online consumer applications.
At least 5 years? experience in directly managing and leading a team of high caliber engineers.
A track record of delivering high quality software on time using AGILE approaches.
Flexible, can-do mentality and the ability to deal with frequently changing priorities.
Solid engineering management and people management experience.
Proven ability to attract and hire top engineering talent.
Self-motivated, with proven ability to solve problems and deliver results.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, operate under tight deadlines.
Have a strong understanding of web application development on highly scalable Java platforms, search-based systems, or big data processing.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
