As a Technical Marketing Engineer you work to create technical content for the FireEye platform that is targeted to customers, field sales, and channel partners. The engineer will be part of our Products group and work closely with our Product Engineering and Marketing teams on key projects related to the current and future company strategies. You will also work with third-party vendors as required to achieve those goals. This position reports to the Director of Product Marketing.
Learn and understand technical strategy of projects with product management/product marketing as well as participating in cross functional teams to develop product and solution roadmaps.
Develops technical collateral to highlight best practices, including contributing to lab testing, solutions designs, and publishing technical guides. This includes developing design, integration, and solutions guides for the FireEye platform.
Builds and demonstrates a deep understanding of the technical capabilities across the FireEye platform and partner technologies.
Help prepare and review technical presentations to customers and partners.
Contribute to projects working with cross-functional and department teams with supervision. Including contributing to Partner integrations highlighting FireEye technologies.
Participate in lab management functions as required to maintain the engineer's lab equipment setup and tear down. This will include providing specific information for equipment procurement.

Ability to work on technical issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation, in the following areas:
Switching (including setting up bi-directional port mirroring) and Routing
Windows and Linux-based operating systems
Understanding of modern security threats, including APTs (Advanced Persistent Threats).
Solve technical problems within the scope of the project, with technical or management assistance,
Must be able to manage multiple priorities and tasks in a dynamic work environment.
Ability to build strong working relationships within the department and across the company with project related tasks.
Ability to learn to lead teams within the department.
Education & Experience:
A Bachelor of Science or Masters degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline; or equivalent experience is required
Demonstrated ability to have successfully completed multiple, moderately complex technical tasks.
