Technical Project Manager - Engineering iParadigms

We are looking for a Project Manager to join our Engineering team. In this role, you will assist in the planning and execution of technical projects from beginning to end. You will work closely with engineers, product managers, fellow project managers, and external partners to ensure project plans are clear, well communicated, and well managed. In addition, you will help facilitate our release process & the launch of updates to our products.
The primary focus of this new Project Manager position will be to help define and drive our architectural initiatives. In addition, in this position you will own and manage our post mortem process for all releases and service issues. Success in this role will depend heavily on your aptitude for and interest in breaking down complex technical projects, clear communication/documentation skills, and building solid relationships.
Work with engineers and architects to define & document architectural initiatives
Facilitate and drive the Architectural Steering Group forum
Own the post mortem process for all software releases and service issues
Work with cross-functional internal teams to establish project plans and identify project risks and dependencies
Create and maintain project-related documentation and communication channels
Track project related deadlines and manage associated communications
Manage required ticket updates in ticket tracking tool ? JIRA
Coordinate and lead project-related meetings
Work with Project and Product Management to establish and report appropriate metrics
Contribute to the continual improvement of internal processes
Requirements and Skills:
Post-secondary degree or equivalent experience
5+ years experience working as a project manager with technical teams in a software, SaaS or web-based company
Experience developing & documenting requirements
Strong knowledge of software development methodologies
Ability to handle many small projects at one time, or several medium / large projects
Highly effective written and oral communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Proactive and independently motivated
Excellent people skills
Familiar with bug / issue tracking solutions and principles
Experience in educational technologies and services a plus
Eligible to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis
