We seek a Project Manager to manage multiple, concurrent projects of deployments of Service Assurance Monitoring, Analytics, and Business Intelligence systems into 3G/4G networks ? TDM, SS7, Mobile Broadband (MBB), LTE, VoIP, and IP Video service provider networks.
The Project Manager reports to the US Director Technical Services and will be ideally located in HQ, Bedford, MA or field-based, and will travel to customer locations as needed to ensure quality project management and customer satisfaction.
As the single point of contact the Project Manager will be responsible for developing and managing plans, project budgets, triaging bugs, and quickly resolving issues that occur during the project. Throughout the project lifecycle, the PM monitors and drives to established implementation milestones, and coordinates all resources involved in the deployment to ensure timely and cost-effective project completion.
Project Manager coordinates with customer teams, Empirix sales account teams and Empirix Implementation Engineers to determine schedule and resources for commissioning Empirix monitoring systems, software configuration, turn-up of probes, and on site project implementation. The PM works collaboratively with customers to meet contractual obligations and manages customer expectations to ensure that product deployments are successfully completed on time and meet technical, business and operational expectations.
Responsibility starts with planning meetings with the Empirix Sales Account team, and continues through to completion of the acceptance test plan (ATP). The Project Manager initiates activity by conducting a thorough review of the sales order created by the Empirix Sales Account team, validating the purchased configurations, site requirements, and network infrastructure with the customer and develops a project implementation plan and Statement of Work (SOW) to ensure a successful deployment.
Program manages multiple customer projects, working directly with customers, vendors and system integrators and provides direction to deployment teams:
Implement a best-practice Project Management ?systems approach? ensuring that deliverables and schedules are documented, agreed to by customer, partners and implementation consultants;
Lead project teams from inception to final customer acceptance and deployment into production;
Estimate staff resource needs across all projects and assign resources to meet project objectives across multiple, concurrent projects;
Facilitate project status meetings with internal and customer resourced project teams on a regular basis and provide timely, detailed status updates to internal services and sales teams;
Develop and provide input to the project Risk Plan and Mitigation Strategy and manage project risks throughout the project. Manage project Issues and Change Control Requests to resolution;
Prepare and review project documentation and deliverables and ensure complete, acceptable, standards-based timely communication;
Required Education and Experience:
10+ year?s field-based experience including resource planning and management and project management for network infrastructure or telecommunications industry.
Customer-centric management style including demonstrated skills in negotiation, leadership, influencing and project control.
Demonstrated high level of analytical and problem solving skills in managing complex, multi-vendor systems deployments.
Excellent inter-personal, written and verbal communication skills including writing proposals, Statements of Work and project status reports.
BS degree and Project Management certification a plus
Travel to customer site as necessary - approximately 50% travel.
