GlassHouse, a fast-paced services company is currently recruiting for a Technical Support Engineer (entry level) for our Cary, North Carolina location. This is an opportunity for an individual utilize to develop, enhance and expand their current technical skills. In this role the TSE will monitor client data center environments including storage, backup, server, and network operations
The TSE L1 should have a working knowledge of the technical disciplines managed by the SOC. The TSE/L1 should be able to easily navigate through varying tool sets and have a moderate proficiency in Microsoft Office. An aptitude for troubleshooting and expanding technical knowledge would be key success factors.
In addition, the TSE L1 will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal as well articulating technical scenarios to more senior level engineers and clients. Strong interpersonal skills are required and the ability to operate within a team environment. The TSE L1 must be available for shift work including nights and weekends.
? Monitoring and responding to alerting tools
? Generate Salesforce cases
? Update SOP documentation as directed
? Interface with the client when required
? Coordinate escalations with the L2 group
? Coordinate parts replacement with outside vendors
