You have strong skills and experience in attracting, sourcing and screening full time technical & design talent for high growth startups or for large consumer facing web platforms.
As our Technical Talent Scout, you will
Manage the recruiting process for all of Quirky's technical & design roles (including ruby on rails developers, front end developers, digital product designers, visual designers, mobile developers and more ). These includes roles both at Quirky HQ in NYC as well as Quirky's new office in San Francisco.
Work with Nathan Smith, Head of Tech, and Steven Walker, Head of Platform to understand requirements, write job descriptions and source candidates for their respective teams.
Manage the process including sourcing, screening, scheduling interviews, soliciting feedback, communicating status to candidates etc.
Report directly to Nikki Kaufman, Head of People & Culture and work with her to ensure we maintain Quirky's special culture while growing quickly and continuing to hire only A+ talent.
Heavy use, and experience, with LinkedIn recruiter to research, source, recruit and create pipelines for potential candidates for all technical roles.
Conduct phone interviews, in-person interviews, and office tours with candidates.
Communicate with applicants and passive job seekers through email, phone, jobvite, and LinkedIn.
Be an excellent brand ambassador for Quirky: anyone that talks to you should be convinced they would rather work at Quirky than at their current job.
Heavy use, and experience, with Jobvite to move all applicants and prospective candidates through Quirky's hiring process.
3+ years of experience recruiting for technical & design talent at an agency or as an in-house recruiter.
Successful track record for placing candidates at high growth startups or companies with consumer facing websites.
Experience recruiting for a high-growth startup is a plus but not required.
Proficiency with application tracking tool, Jobvite, is a plus but not required.
Must be well-versed and comfortable using LinkedIn recruiter.
Must be well-versed in and have a deep understanding of the technical nature of these jobs: you will be "talking tech" with candidates.
You must have an unrelenting intellectual curiosity and pride in doing awesome work.
You are impatient with an entrepreneurial spirit.
You have stellar written and verbal communication skills.
You are action and detail oriented.
You have a passion and noticeable excitement for what we are building at Quirky.
