Traffic Operations Centre (TOC) Analyst (EU) INRIX
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED INRIX is seeking a technical analyst (Weekend Shift) within our Operations team in Altrincham, to ensure a high quality traffic result is produced across the EU. INRIX has numerous custom, complex systems to provide traffic and routing information in North America, South America and Europe. We already have a mature TOC in the USA and want to create a new one in the EU to supplement our existing EU team. We are adding staff to our Altrincham office in order to improve our current weekend coverage. At a high level this role is 50% tier 1 operations analyst, and 50% data analyst.
Hours Required: This role will be full time (37.5 hours), spread over four shifts per week, Friday to Monday, starting at 7am.

Perform routine systems checks
Respond to alarms
Improve traffic and road closure accuracy
By performing real time Quality of Information analysis of Traffic Data, including input data feeds
By carefully validating all new functionality
By working on various projects to improve accuracy
Using custom tools and monitors, perform routine system quality checks throughout the working day.
If issues are found, attempt to resolve them using the Product Support Handbook. If necessary escalate to Tier 2.
Differentiate between critical issues and less important ones in order to make good decisions when deciding whether to escalate or not. If escalating, provide useful information to Tiers 2 and 3 to help them diagnose problems more quickly.
Able to fix a range of problems rather than escalate.
Monitor production systems, checking monitors and communicate/escalates per the production support guide.
Perform road closure QA for closures coming from multiple providers and multiple countries within the EU.
Participate in diverse pre-production and go-live validation work.
Utilise moderate to advanced SQL skills.
Diagnose production quality issues as needed.
Take analysis as far as reasonably possible.
Proactively hunt for ways that the TOC and INRIX can continuously improve.
This could mean new processes, new tools, updated documentation, internal training, etc.
When it makes sense, takes the lead on implementing these ideas.
Independently execute highly complex reports and/or projects on time with quality.
Be available for EU sales support (e.g. to assist Business Development in demonstrating our operational capabilities)
To partner well with peer teams within Operations
Work well with other groups such as Development, Science, Business Development and Marketing as needed.
Work well with suppliers (especially input (feed) providers) to optimise quality.
Clear communicator: Proficiency in English, both written and verbal. Multiple language skills a plus.
Ability to work independently. Self motivated, with the desire to improve our European product.
A desire to make sure INRIX provides the most accurate traffic result possible.
Evidence of ability to routinely see projects through to completion.
To travel to Seattle up to 2 x per year (and an initial trip for training on the role).
Enthusiasm for providing the most accurate traffic result possible.
To carry a pager and respond to alerts for occasional (monthly) shifted off-hours duty.
