GENERAL PURPOSE: The Training Manager will develop a program for both technical and non-technical personnel within MTN and for MTN?s customers, resellers and agents. The Training Manager will develop course curriculum for employees and customers; working with both groups to develop courses designed to meet specific technical needs of the department. The Training manager will also be responsible for scheduling of courses, publishing class schedules and maintain training documents including student certifications and skills matrix.
? Provides training to the Technical Operations & Service department?s to keep MTN technicians current on all equipment used in the field and any new technologies that may be coming into the network
? Responsible for training of new MTN & MSP field technicians.
? Responsible for developing & completing training needs analysis for the MTN business units and developing training materials, communications and training activities.
? Develop training materials for multiple audiences, ranging from experienced implementation team members to inexperienced end users
? Design, implement and manage performance metric systems. Maintain updated student training database with test scores and evaluations.
? Design, develop, implement and evaluate performance solutions that may include elements of teambuilding, leadership development, training and performance support, creative planning and group process, employee development and/or organizational communications.
? Creates audio and video webinars to enhance training and deliver company policies effectively.
? Develop course curriculum and design utilizing a variety of delivery methods to include but not limited to instructor led and e-learning programs.
? Develop and implement a comprehensive evaluation process to ascertain the effectiveness of specific initiatives and overall programs.
? Maintain a training library, ensuring that the MTN Service Support site has updated technical and training materials. Distribute training materials for any new equipment used and technology changes.
? Control and maintain all training material and certifications; including individual student skills matrix.
? Assist Quality Assurance in testing and documenting new equipment releases, including the evaluation of any new products and develop training documents for release to MTN field operations
? Responsible for maintaining MTN?s web service portal
? Help support the Company?s mission and values by contributing to outstanding customer service, respecting both internal and external clients, working towards achieving the company?s rapid growth objectives by pitching in wherever needed and by contributing new ideas.
? Other related duties/responsibilities as assigned
NATURE OF WORK CONTACTS: This position will report to the Director of Special Projects/Operations.. The Training Manager will interact with internal and external personnel such as MTN customers, remote office employees and internal employees in the Technical Services, the Network Operations and other MTN technical and engineering departments.

TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS:
? Bachelor?s degree in education and technical training a minimum or Master?s degree a plus.
? Experience in training and presentation of technical courses and seminars is a must.
? Proven ability to understand technical concepts especially those related to the satellite industry.
? Six plus years? experience working in the field of training technical/engineering personnel.
? Pass internal satellite basics and SeaTel antenna certification within three months of hire
? Proficient in Windows, Excel, Word, Power Point and multimedia applications
? Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
PHYSICAL/SENSORY DEMANDS: Office environment. Possess excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Moderate travel required.
