Who We Want:
The Senior Campaign Manager, will be responsible for campaign and marketing communications management for the Connections business unit at Bazaarvoice. The Connections solution enables brands to respond to Bazaarvoice-hosted consumer questions and reviews on the web sites of participating retailers in the Bazaarvoice network.
He/she will work with Connections product marketing and business leadership to create
demand generation campaigns, delivering high-quality, high-velocity leads among brand prospects in North America to a dedicated sales team for customer acquisition, as well as nurture campaigns for upsell and retention. Specific to this campaign management role will be the development of a sophisticated, automated, and closed-loop demand marketing program to several different identified target customer and prospect segments, serving up relevant information unique to each brand from the Bazaarvoice network.
To drive leads into the demand program, the campaign manager will also design, develop
and implement campaigns across paid, earned and owned media channels, and track
and measure effectiveness of activities to optimize and drive improved performance.
We are looking for someone who loves results (measurable, quality leads to the sales force) and knows how to stack up integrated campaign programs to deliver the highest quality in the most efficient fashion. This is a great digital direct marketing role in a hot category (social) with an innovative company.
The candidate will come with seasoned marketing communications expertise to take product positioning from product marketing subject matter experts and develop marketing communications content that supports demand generation efforts and/or successfully manage and evaluate creative work of copywriters and designers. Must have ability to work with internal stakeholders to gain buy-in and approvals.
The campaign manager will be a self-motivated multi-tasker, comfortable working quickly and with significant ambiguity in a dynamic environment. He/she will relish new, daily challenges and be a creative problem solver and solution-oriented team member.
He/she will have seasoned expertise in marketing campaign planning and plan and execute
primarily digital marketing tactics, with core focus on developing sophisticated customer and prospect demand campaigns.
Operational efficiency is a must, with clear understanding of demand generation metrics,
marketing automation program execution, and campaign reporting.
The campaign and marketing communications manager will own his/her plan, and be
responsible for delivering quarterly results (in the form of qualified leads) to the business that he/she supports.
Skills and Experience Necessary for the Role:
- Develop annual/quarterly demand generation plans for specific business unit, based on
business objectives delivered by sales and marketing leadership
- Manage and deploy quarterly campaign budget against appropriate, high-performing
initiatives that drive customer acquisition, upsell and retention
- Set-up, deploy and/or oversee all campaign elements through the Bazaarvoice Marketing
Automation System, Marketo, across all paid, earned and owned channels, in partnership with a demand generation agency
- Own orchestrating a cohesive customer experience/journey for specific demand generation and nurture programs via Marketo in partnership with agency
- Manage demand generation agency hired to architect multi-segment, variable content
automated marketing program and work with product and product marketing leadership to plan and execute all marcom and demand generation activities for the program
- Develop relevant nurture tracks and triggered communications for prospects at specific
points in the sales cycle, to support lead nurture/qualification and sales acceleration
Collaborate with Creative Resource Manager and creative resources/agencies to develop
high-impact creative product that generates high-volume click-throughs and leads
- Champion development and coordination of relevant content/assets to support business campaign initiatives
- Collaborate closely with product marketing on messaging for prospects, based on solution
offering and sales cycle phase
- Measure effectiveness of all campaign initiatives and optimize based on learnings
- Develop quarterly and monthly presentations to present to key stakeholders re: campaign
successes and upcoming initiatives
- Infuse best practices, insights and optimization strategies into all campaigns.
- Bachelor?s Degree
- 8-10 years experience in B2B demand generation and content marketing, across email,
SEM, digital display, social and other digital channels
- 3+ years Marketo (or similar) marketing automation software experience
- Demonstrable experience planning, building, and executing effective lead nurture programs, including segmented and variable content programs.
- Experience in developing, working with and/or optimizing lead scoring models
- Collaborative work style; ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams
- Strong written and verbal communications skills; ability to comfortably develop and
communicate plans to marketing leadership, as well as other stakeholders/leaders within the organization
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, ask questions and track down answers with
confidence, and lead projects/programs with minimal direction
