As the primary contact for all health improvement and wellness initiatives, the wellness manager would be responsible for the design and delivery of a comprehensive approach to improving team member health. This includes program implementation, launch and operations, champion and champion team rollout/ongoing administration, oversight and planning of events, general employee engagement, and opportunities for quality improvement.
Essential Job Functions
Primary responsibilities of this role may include, but are not limited to:
Ensure vendor partners are administering programs accurately and adhering to contractual obligations, expected service and quality levels
Development/oversight of program delivery plan and implementation schedule
Coordinate and implement pilot and company-wide campaigns, programs and events (i.e., incorporating healthy activities into daily job functions, national employee health and fitness day events, etc.)
Develop and manage Wellness Champions and Champion Teams; serve as point person for Wellness Champions and leadership at worksite locations (i.e., over 300 champions expected following company-wide rollout in addition to the champion team members)
Leverage health plan, wellness, and community resources
Interpret employee feedback to determine if/how the service might be improved in the future
Prepare and meet with instructors and vendors to organize logistical arrangements for courses and events (i.e., biometric screenings)
Assist with development of health improvement policy and procedure
Identify and foster integration and collaboration opportunities with both internal and external stakeholders as appropriate
Review and understanding of reports on participation, activities and results to date
Optional: Develop and facilitate educational programs (i.e., courses, workshops, special events, and interactive booths)
Perform other duties as assigned
Essential Job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition, Public Health, Physical Fitness, Human Resources or equivalent; Masters degree preferred
Minimum 5 years experience required along with 3 years focusing on health improvement/wellness and project management
Minimum of 3 years work experience in worksite wellness, preferably at a multi site corporate location, including planning, promotion, delivery, and evaluation of wellness programs
Employee Status: Regular, Exempt, Full-time.
