Western Regional Sales Manager Ekos
Position descriptions and requirements:
This position is responsible for the sale of the organization's products in a specified region or major
geographical area either personally and through subordinates. Provides ongoing support to product
distribution channels and sales personnel.
Main duties and responsibilities:
? Recruit, train, motivate, and develop sales professionals.
? Directs sales professionals in developing organizational skills, account strategies, territory
planning and administrative responsibilities to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction is
? Develops and increases sales revenue to meet assigned targets.
? Becomes actively involved in new customers sales orientation and sales training programs.
? Resource for sales professionals to assist customers in contract opportunities and proposals.
? Assist customers with contract negotiations, closing the sale and developing training plans for
? Assists with the planning of sales exhibits. Attends trade shows. Participates in education and
training conferences on selling and marketing programs.
? Coordinates and assists in leading sales meetings to include site selection and agenda
? Keeps informed of new products, services and other general information of interest to
? Checks on competitive activity and develops new methods of attaining customers.
? Troubleshoots problems regarding products provided. Answers questions from customers and
assists with the handling of complaints.
? Performs other job-related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.
? Bachelor's degree with a Master?s degree preferred.
? Minimum 5 years of sales management experience 3 of which should be within the medical
? A working knowledge of GMP, ISO 13485 & MDD requirements.
? Demonstrated problem solving and negotiation skills.
? Experience with associations and medical device sales.
? Excellent oral and written communication skills.
? Excellent formal presentation skills before both small and large groups.
? Experience managing large territories and diverse product offerings that will require up to 75%
? Coaching/mentoring experience with less senior sales staff.
